Introduction
“Tây Côn Lĩnh Đỏ” is a rare red “Shan Tuyết” tea from Hà Giang province in the far north of Vietnam. This red tea is harvested from hundred-year-old tea plants, some over 300 years old. The name Tây Côn Lĩnh actually comes from the mountain range on which wild tea plants have grown for hundreds of years.
Fruity and caramelized from the first infusion, it will surprise you with its subtle aromas reminiscent of honey, forest and forest fruits. This unique red tea develops complex flavors of malt and toast. Tây Côn Lĩnh Đỏ red tea is essentially composed of large buds covered with fine downs reminiscent of snow, hence its name “Shan Tuyết” which means “snow” in Vietnamese.
