Introduction
“Tây Côn Lĩnh” is a rare “Shan Tuyết” green tea from Hà Giang province in the far north of Vietnam. This green tea is harvested from hundred-year-old tea trees, some over 300 years old.
In Vietnam, this “grand cru” is called “Tây Côn Lĩnh Xanh 1 Tôm 1 Lá” which means “Tây Côn Lĩnh Xanh with a bud and the very first leaf” (imperial picking).
The name Tây Côn Lĩnh actually comes from the mountain range on which wild tea plants have grown for hundreds of years.
Soft and Fruity from the first infusion, it will surprise you with its subtle aromas of white grapes and forest fruits. Very pleasant and refreshing slight bitterness accompanied by a nice iodine touch.
Tây Côn Lĩnh green tea is essentially made up of large buds covered with fine duvets reminiscent of snow, hence its name “Shan Tuyết” which means “snow” in Vietnamese.
